Carpet Installers at Your Home? Check out Free Museum Days

Thanks in large part to the Denver-area voters who have maintained a 1/10 of 1% sales and use tax (a penny for every $10 spent) to support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), visitors to many of the metro area’s acclaimed museums get the opportunity to visit for free several days out of the year. There’s no better time to get a little culture.

Denver Art Museum
If it’s the first Saturday of the month, make plans to visit the Denver Art Museum. Your kids can check out a family backpack, make art, play games and, of course, enjoy the amazing artwork.

It’s not just lions, tigers and bears, but elephants, giraffes, monkeys and more that entertain young and old at the Denver Zoo. It’s been a favorite Denver attraction since 1918.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science
If there is a scientist in the group, a visit to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science any day of the year should most certainly be on your to-do list. Visiting on a free day is icing on the cake. From Egyptian mummies to wildlife exhibits, and a prehistoric journey to a space odyssey, there is enough to keep you enthralled for several visits a year. You’ll still need to pay for the IMAX films, Planetarium shows and temporary exhibits.
