What is a Grade A Mill Irregular?
A carpet that does not meet exact mill specifications in some very minor way. All Sloane’s carpet is warranteed
What type of irregularities does your carpet have?
There are many types, however, the irregularities in our carpets never effect the durability or wear of the carpet. Examples include: the color may be lighter or darker than the mill specification, the carpet might be 11’11” wide and not the normal 12’ width, the carpet might have subtle streaks in the length that are not visible after the carpet is vacuumed or the mill might have discontinued that particular style. In every case, the customer will inspect the carpet prior to pickup or installation. In fact, Sloane’s will not install any carpet until you have seen the irregularity and have expressly approved it.
What are the “brand names” you carry?

Middle to very high-end residential and commercial carpet. Textures, plushes, Berber and patterns, both tufted and woven styles. Wool and nylon.

What about padding?
We have a wide range of middle to high end pad available. Recent technological breakthroughs have engineered pads that are vastly superior to the basic “rebond” pad that is usually used.
What about installation?
You may have your own installer put in your new carpet or we will be happy to recommend a Master Installer to do the installation.
How do I maintain my carpet?
The most important step in caring for your carpet is vacuuming. Vacuum thoroughly and frequently, particularly in high-traffic areas. Bear in mind that walking on soiled carpet permits the soil particles to work their way below the surface of the pile where they are far more difficult to remove and can damage the fibers. Frequent vacuuming removes these particles from the surface before this happens. Properly maintaining your new carpet or floor covering will insure years of enjoyment from it.
For rooms with light traffic, vacuum the traffic lanes twice weekly and the entire area weekly. Those areas with heavier traffic require the traffic lanes to be vacuumed daily and the entire area twice weekly. Up to three passes of the machine will suffice for light soiling, but five to seven passes are necessary for heavily soiled areas. Change the vacuuming direction occasionally to help stand the carpet fibers (pile) upright and reduce matting.
